My name is Oleta and I am addicted to shopping, part one...

Do you know when you get to that point where you run out of everything? Well yesterday I reached that point, my primer, my foundation, my favourite blusher, all gone. So I marched down to my nearest Boots and Mac store and told myself 'just get what I need, just get what I need' and that's exactly what I did and to reward myself for being so good I chucked a couple lipsticks in the basket too.

I've been wanting a dark hot pink lipstick for so long because I think they look amazing against tanned skin and dark hair so when I saw this Maybelline lipstick I knew I had to try it! As well as a dark hot pink I really wanted a bright orange/red and after hearing great things about Bourjois' new Rouge Edition line I chose number 10 Rouge Buzz and its exactly the colour I was looking for. I can't wait to try these perfect summer shades out a bit more.

So as I mentioned I've ran out of primer and my favourite blush and I went into boots and I was drawn to the Revlon cream blush in the colour 'pinched' it is the most beautiful peachy/coral shade and I haven't had a cream blush in a while so it was like fate. The primer was kind of a meh I'll go for that one then, I didn't really look properly at the Revlon perfecting primer but I'm so glad I picked it up because I've read so many amazing reviews on it and after trying a bit on the back of my hands I can't wait to use this in my make-up routine. The packaging for both of these items are sleek, well designed and very expensive looking.

Finally I've been wanting to try Mac's Face and Body Foundation for so so long after people telling me how amazing it is and that its the only Mac foundation they would really recommend, so I went into my nearest Mac store ready to get it in the colour C3 but after a 10 minute chat with the lovely girl at the counter she persuaded me to try C2 and I'm glad I did because its the perfect match. I'm a bit worried about using this foundation as it appears to be quite sheer but I'll see how it goes and a full review will be up soon.

The second part to this post will be all the fashion bits I've picked up over the past few weeks (seriously need to stop spending money).

Have you tried any of these products?

MAKE A STATEMENT

Saturday, 25 May 2013

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while I've been working a lot of hours at my new job (h&m, yay!) and its so hard finding the time to take pictures and blog but I'm back! So I have lots of  lovely post's lined up for you.

These necklaces are like my children, I love them. They take pride of place on my bedroom wall and I just can't help but keep adding to the collection, much to my mum's dismay (how many necklaces do you need Oleta!?). I can literally be wearing the most boring outfit ever and slinging one of these round my neck instantly brings everything together and makes me look like I actually made an effort.

The majority of these necklaces are from Topshop, I absolutely love their jewellery although it is stupidly expensive and it will eventually turn bronze, I just can't help myself! The last picture are my two new babies both from Topshop and both absolutely gorgeous (sorry mum!), I haven't took the gold and neon orange one off and I've had so many compliments on it and the second is almost a choker but it looks amazing with a crew neck top.

This post is short and sweet because of how many pictures there are. What piece of jewellery do you pick up and wear every day?

MAY WISHLIST

Monday, 6 May 2013

This month's wishlist is all fashion, there are so many gorgeous things I want and no money to buy them with! I didn't really like the Topshop jumpsuit when I first saw it but after seeing someone wearing it I am absolutely in love and as soon as I have the money it will be mine!

Oh and I'm sorry for the lack of posts at the moment I am trying to make outfit posts a regular thing but as my photographer (my lovely mum) is away at the moment I can't really get them done, but I will get myself organised and my posting should be more regular promise.

What's on your wishlist this month?

SOAP & GLORY: THE LINE UP

Monday, 29 April 2013

I've used Soap & Glory for years now I think its great value for money and whatever you're looking for Soap & Glory has it, so I thought I would narrow down my favourites and these are the four that have made the cut.

Soap & Glory Clean on me Shower Gel - This is my go to Shower Gel it lathers up nicely leaving my skin hydrated and soft, the smell is amazing its very delicate and is what Soap & Glory call the 'original pink' scent, think 'fruity'. The smell doesn't last that long but after rubbing in the Body Butter it does help the scent last longer, but I would like to be able to still smell it even without applying moisturiser. The packaging is an easy to use pump bottle, so when your temporarily blinded from Shampoo there's no need to fumble around trying to undo any bottle lids!

Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Scrub - I love this scrub, I use this before I apply false tan because it removes any dead skin and leaves your skin super soft. Its a mix of Shea Butter, Sugar, Sweet Almond Oil, Sea Salt and Peach Seed Powder and together it creates the most delicious smell like seriously I could sit and eat it, the peach really comes through and anything that smells of peach I'll give it a go. Basically it smells amazing and leaves your skin smooth and dead skin free, what more do you want? P.s some people use this scrub on their face personally I wouldn't recommend it I think its a bit too harsh.

Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream - I've never really been a hand cream kinda girl I always used to be really surprised when people carried it around in their bags because I never really saw it as a necessity, well until I bought this of course. I loved it so much after I bought the full sized one I went and bought a mini one just for my handbag, in recent winters my hands have started to suffer from dryness and at one point were very chapped and sore. Well after using Hand Food my hands are left soothed and moisturised and it has marshmallow in it (yep marshmallows!).

Soap & Glory Butter Yourself Body Butter - Oo I do love a good Body Butter, and this is a good Body Butter! It's thick but when applied melts into my skin leaving it soft, moisturised and smelling amazing. The scent is different to the other products because its not the 'Original Pink' scent, with a mix of Orange Waterjuice, Shea Butter, Peppermint Oil and Fruitiliquid Fig (whatever that is) the smell is really unusual but very crisp and leaves a long lasting citrus smell on your skin. A big 300ml tub lasts a life time because a little goes a very long way, oh and this is currently free in Boots when you spend £10 or more on Soap & Glory products how good is that?!

Sorry about how long this post is! What do you think of Soap & Glory products?

EBAY PICKS #6

Friday, 26 April 2013

I think this is my favourite Ebay picks I've done so far, I could browse Ebay all day and spend an awful lot of money (if I had any) on all of the gorgeous things I find. The bag and shoes are very 'Zara-esque' which is what drew me to them, they're so simple but would make any outfit amazing. The jumper is a lovely bright neon (there's that word again) yellow and of course it leapt into my shopping cart as everything does and I bought it, oops!

What do you think of these finds?

When life hands you...oranges?

Thursday, 25 April 2013

My Nail colour is Maybelline Colour Show polish in Pow Green, you can see my review on them here :)

Today's outfit is all about orange! I don't think I've ever worn something as much as I have worn this Topshop Blazer, I can't really describe the colour some people call it red but I think its more of an orange so I think I'll just call it an orangey/red, yep that's what I'm going with. My lipstick is Mac's So Chaud, it's again an orangey/red and I think it looks amazing on slightly tanned skin. It doesn't dry your lips out and lasts all day long.

The necklace is quite old now but as soon as I stumbled across it on Topshop's website I just couldn't stop myself from buying it, it was very pricey at £28 it's the most I've ever spent on a necklace. It's so intricate and well made though so it's definitely worth the money in my opinion, when I bought it I thought that it would lay flat on my chest but it actually sits raised up which I didn't like at first but now I think it just adds to the necklace.

What do you think of this outfit?

POW GREEN & SOLAR FLAIR

Tuesday, 23 April 2013

Currently on offer in Boots for buy one get the second half price!

Three things drew me to Maybelline Colour Show Nail Polish the first being the price I mean come on £2.99!? The second being the little 7ml bottles which are so easy to just chuck in your handbag and touch up your nails on the go. The third being the amazing choice of colours, from on trend neon green and cobalt blue to cool greys and nudes there is pretty much every colour you'd ever want your nails to wear.

You should all know by now that I have a slight obsession with anything that's neon at the moment so I just had to get Pow Green, I can't really explain the colour its very unusual it kind of reminds me of a 'slime green' which I know isn't exactly going to make you want to go run and buy it. But it is a gorgeous shade and I think it will be staying on my nails for a good while, the brush is the perfect width which makes for easy application, the first and second coats we're very streaky so I did need three coats of it to get the bottle colour which is always a bit annoying!

Solar Flair is a lovely tangerine colour that is a bit sparkly (everyone loves a bit of sparkle), the perfect shade for Summer or to add a pop of colour to any outfit. With Solar Flair I found I only needed two coats to get the bottle colour.

Both the polishes dried quickly and both have a very glossy finish which is made even more glossy by adding a top coat, I found the staying power to be ok but I always find a way to chip my nails in a couple days anyway, topcoat or not.

Have you tried Maybelline Colour Show Nail Polish? Is there any colours you recommend?
